CSGS collaborated with the Ashoka War Studies Club to inaugurate their student-led initiative with a panel discussion on “Bodies of War: Gendered Discourses of Warfare”, with Prof Seema Kazi and Prof Pratyay Nath, moderated by our post-doc research fellow, Dr Arunima Theraja.

The panel discussion focused on the impact of warfare on gendered and marginalized bodies and how war becomes a socio-cultural and trans-historical mechanism of oppression for women, children, and other gender minorities.
